The Media WebCam
is brought to you by Media
Services at Salem State
College, located in historic Salem, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
The Media WebCam overlooks part of Salem and Marblehead Harbor
and will be repositioned from time to time to feature new venues.
Watch the leaves turn in the Fall, or bear witness to an old
fashioned N'oreaster snow storm during the Winter months. You
never know what you will see next on the Media Webcam!

SALEM
STATE CAM NETWORK
Actually, just North Campus! What started off as a way to share
our office view has turned into a worldwide phenomenon for the
Media Webcam. In November of 1998 the Media Webcam went live,
streaming a live broadcast of Lafayette Street and Salem Harbor
overlooking Abbott Hall in Marblehead. Soon after its introduction
our logging software showed visitors as far away as Japan and
South Africa hitting the site. To the day, the cam has had over
185,000 visitors. In addition to the Media
Webcam, several other cams have joined the SSC Cam Network,
including the Hoagie
Cam, the ever popular Media
Officecam and the all new Tank
Cam 2000.
